Matt & Margo Beukelman
“Our adoption journey gave us more than a child. It gave us a birth family to love and showed us the Lord’s heart in a special way. At the start of our journey, Matthew and I had to research, pray, and decide where the Lord was taking our family. Turns out we didn’t need to go far to add a sweet boy into our lives. We continue to be blessed by God as He surrounds us with supportive family, friends, our local community, and our church. Where God leads, he provides.”
Sam & Eve Pickard
“Beginning when Eve and I were young, people around us modeled what it can look like to invest in children who didn’t have active parents and, as a couple, we knew this would be part of our story. Among other things, we chose to adopt internationally, but maybe international adoption isn’t an option for you. That’s ok. What’s not ok is to do nothing. Maybe you can mentor a student in a local school. You might be able to advocate for those in foster care by becoming a CASA. You may be able to provide respite care for kids in the foster care system. Do something. Yes, it will impact your family and the child(ren) you invest in, but you are also setting an example for those around you. And if we are going to drastically impact the 153,000,000+ orphans in the world, we need to motivate as many people as possible to be part of the solution.”

“Adoption. It's always been a part of my story. It's something I didn't choose for myself, and something I DID choose for our youngest son. It's hard. It's messy. It's beautiful. For many, adoption is a story of loss. It's a sign you are unwanted. For me, adoption is a story of redemption. It's a reminder that I was chosen. It's a second chance where I didn't earn one. It's a statement of value about life in general. And it's a beautiful reflection of my spiritual adoption story and the love God the Father has for each and every one of us.”
Paul & Alli Nix
“God had placed adoption on our minds and in our hearts before we even knew each other. That seed really began to grow as we walked the journey of infertility. Through lots of prayer and affirmation, we stepped into domestic infant adoption. The result (so far!) is two amazing kiddos in our home and so many new “extended family” to love. Adoption is not easy at all, but we have grown so passionate about this powerful way to show God’s love to others.”

“Adoption has profoundly impacted our family in ways we never expected. When we first began our foster care journey, we never imagined adopting, but taking in our baby boy in 2023 changed everything. The joy, love, and energy he brought into our home have been beyond measure, and we can’t imagine our lives without him. Adoption has not only added a new member to our family, but it has also strengthened our belief in the power of restoration and healing. It has deepened our commitment to providing a safe, loving environment for children in need, and we feel incredibly blessed to have him as part of our family.”
Alex & Morgan Robey
“We adopted two strong and stunning children through international adoption from India and feel so blessed by them. We’ve done a lot of exploration on the “why adoption” question and what we have found that for us it comes down to is a strong passion for meeting people right where they are and loving them there. In our friendships, our marriage, and our careers, we’ve learned presence is most important. Now as parents, we love our kids in every stage they are in and intentionally attempt to help them learn and grow towards their best selves. Adoption is another version of this call to meet people where they are. Adoption can be beautifully messy, but it is a part of the redemption story God is telling. We feel so grateful for the opportunity to love our babies in the happy and the hard every step of the journey as we do life together.”
